Maxis and TM Expand Partnership on Broadband Services Till 2029

Maxis and TM

The High-Speed Broadband (HSBB) services agreement between Malaysian operator Maxis and TM (Telekom Malaysia) has been extended until 2029. Maxis said in an official statement that it will keep using the network of TM, the biggest fiber network provider in the country, to deliver fixed broadband plans and value-added services to its clients.

Maxis and TM Network Growth

Through this alliance, Maxis will be able to enhance its fiber network and serve even more locations around the country with high-speed internet connection. Currently, over 700,000 households and companies are connected to fiber by Maxis.

The premium services come with extra criteria in addition to basic HSBB access, which, according to Maxis, will allow them better serve clients with increased efficiency. These requirements include one-stop connectivity and digital solution offers for corporate customers.

User priority

Maxis made the following statement on the partnership: “We are happy to expand and strengthen our partnership with TM in order to further promote broadband adoption across the country. We are able to use our resources more effectively and efficiently thanks to the cooperation, which works in line with our own large fiber network and core mobile business. This enables us to concentrate more on the client experience. This is consistent with our integrated telecom strategy of meeting every connection demand of our users.”

According to the official statement, TM is Maxis’ largest HSBB services partner in their ongoing partnership, and in 2010 Maxis became the first telecom provider to sign an HSBB connectivity deal with TM.
