Already with smartphones, Samsung will charge extra costs on consumers who use its artificial intelligence (AI) enabled features. Samsung revealed the Galaxy S24, their newest flagship smartphone series, during the recent Galaxy AI event. The three smartphones are equipped with AI technologies that have never been seen on a Samsung phone before, either in terms of support or launch date. The Galaxy AI features, which a lot of people think are great and really beneficial for their everyday lives, won’t be free always.
In the future, Samsung will charge fees on consumers that utilize its AI features. That means there is nothing to be worried about until the end of 2025. “Galaxy AI features will be provided for free until the end of 2025 on supported Samsung Galaxy devices,” stated Samsung on its website. Third-party AI features may be subject to different agreements.”
