Telecom Argentina Installs 5G SA Sites Along the Atlantic Coast

Telecom Argentina has improved connection to famous tourist locations with the recent 5G rollout along the Atlantic coast.

Using recently acquired 3.5 GHz spectrum, Telecom Argentina (Personal) has announced the deployment and operation of seven 5G Standalone (SA) antennas on the Atlantic coast. The operator declared on Wednesday that Personal had turned on the first antennae in the beach destinations of Mar del Plata, Pinamar, and Carilo. Furthermore, 10 5G stations utilizing 5G DSS technology are now operational.

The seven new 5G antennas that use the recently acquired spectrum are situated as follows: two antennas in Pinamar, which cover the city’s center, two antennas in Carilo, which cover the city’s central and beach areas, three antennas in Mar del Plata at specific locations (Pedestrian Av. San Martin and Entre Rios, Playa Serena, and Av. Peralta Ramos and Gascon).

With the freshly acquired spectrum, Telecom Argentina reported activating 68 5G SA base stations in various locations around the nation. The business had 311 5G DSS sites around the nation prior to this launch; they will now adjust to the new spectrum for an improved user experience.

The firm wants to provide the newest technologies to Argentines. The business stated that travelers visiting these locations with compatible devices and close to the first 5G-enabled sites may benefit from 5G technology’s notable speed gains and decreased latency. Customers may use their current plan to access 5G services during the initial phase, negating the need to acquire a new plan.

In comparison to the present 4G LTE/4.5G technology, Telecom Argentina claims that 5G would provide speeds of up to 10 Gbps, higher capacity for connecting devices, and increased coverage and performance.
