OPPO Releases Find X7 Ultra to bid with Samsung and MI.

Find X7

Oppo Find X7 Ultra is a fashionable device with four 50MP cameras.

OPPO is now entering the fight with its 2024 flagship, following Xiaomi and Samsung who already use the Ultra label for their high end phones. The Find X7 Ultra expands upon the Find X6 Pro’s design from the previous year and adds several striking new features along with significant camera improvements on all models.

Let’s begin with the layout. The Find X7 Ultra comes in three different color options: Ocean Blue, Sepia Brown, and Tailored Black. It features a large camera housing at the rear. Because the upper half of the blue variant is decorated in white, the two-tone design contributes significantly to its remarkable appearance.

With a BOE panel that can produce HDR content at an astounding 4,500 nits, the phone also has what may be the brightest screen of 2024. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is included, along with 512GB of storage, 16GB of RAM, and the same 5000mAh battery that can be charged at 100W.

However, what really sets the Find X7 Ultra unique is its camera features. The device has four 50MP cameras, and it’s the first to use Sony’s recently released LYT-900 1-inch image sensor, which is intended for digital photography. This second-generation sensor has an effective focal length of 23 mm and is advertised as having significantly reduced light reflectance.

Changing to the wide-angle lens gives you the Sony LYT-600 image module, which can also be used as a macro photographer thanks to its 14mm focal length and autofocus. The zoom lens, however, is where things start to get interesting. The device has two periscope lenses: a 6x lens with a 135mm focal length that utilizes Sony’s IMX858 and a 3x zoom lens that uses a Sony IMX890.

Along with the device, OPPO will release its HyperTone Image Engine, which utilizes computational photography to provide the most detailed highlights and shadows possible. Additionally, it has the best optical zoom of any smartphone, at least up to 6x, and a new Hasselblad Portrait Mode that transfers the iconic and massive Swedish camera company’s portrait mode to mobile devices.

After some adjustments, the Pro mode is now known as Hasselblad Master Mode. To put it briefly, this is a camera that can capture incredible images and films. There’s only one problem: it doesn’t seem like the Find X7 Ultra will be available outside of China. The Find X6 and X6 Pro were not released outside of OPPO’s native nation last year, and as of this writing, a worldwide release is not scheduled.
