Apart from the Oura Ring, Amazfit smart rings haven’t exactly taken off, but that hasn’t stopped businesses from creating their own replicas in an attempt to capture a piece of the action. Amazfit just entered the smart ring market with the new Helio ring, while other smart rings have so far come from very unknown startups. Samsung has also reportedly been working on a Galaxy Ring.
The Helio Ring, which made an appearance at CES 2024, features a 2.6mm thick shell and is constructed with lightweight titanium that is “skin-safe”. The ring has built-in sensors that allow it to track your blood oxygen level, pulse rate, stress level, and sleep patterns. According to Amazfit, the ring will utilize this information to assess your performance and offer a Readiness score on the Zepp app.
Amazfit adds that customers may wear the ring paired with one of its own smartwatches, such as the T-Rex Ultra, to enable the Zepp app to collect data from both devices for a deeper examination of your stats. Still, the Helio Ring can still be worn independently if you don’t have an Amazfit app.
As of now, it looks a lot like the Oura Ring, yet Amazfit hasn’t provided all the specifics such battery life about its planned smart ring. It can track running, walking, cycling, and treadmill training modes in addition to having 10ATM water resistance; however, it is unclear whether it will have other features. Additionally, Amazfit claims that it will come in sizes 10 and 12, which appears a bit restrictive.
We are aware that in the spring of 2024, the Helio Ring will be in market. Although the price is unclear Amazfit smartwatches are often less expensive than the greatest Android smartwatches, so it wouldn’t be shocking if they were less expensive than the Oura Ring.
